March 5, 2007

Lynne and I met with the oncologist and neurosurgeon this morning. The neurosurgeon clarified the results of the MRI. The 13mm is residual not new growth. Therefore, the standard treatment of radiation and chemotherapy will ensue within the next couple of days. The surgeon claims that the 13mm residual is actually better than expected. Lynne is greatly relieved with that news. Lynne was able to get a complete night's sleep, which she was desperately in need of.

Lynne and Darryl. I am so thankful for your report of March 5. It is so much more encouraging than we believed it to be. I'm sorry you had to go through those days of misunderstanding the MRI, but, oh, how joyful you must both be now. Reading the Blog this morning made my heart leap for joy. You are both in my prayers. What great news!!! Enough is enough! I am so glad that the doctor was able to give you some peace about the growth that is currently there. I am praying fervently as are many others, but if you need me for something more tangible, please let meknow! I am there for you!

Prayers do help, God is showing us that with each thing that Lynne is going through. At first the news sounds bad and then it turns out good. Just want you both to know that you are in our prayers daily and we know that you WILL get through this thing. We love you both. We had a great celebration for our 50th Sunday, 82 people came to celebrate with us. Pat Cox told us that you wanted to be there if you could and I know that you would have. Love you much!
