22 Oct 2010 Update

The day we always hoped would be tomorrow came today. Lynne's MRI shows extensive tumor enhancement. No conventional treatments remain, so we move toward keeping Lynne comfortable and ensuring that each day is filled with as much peace and joy as possible. Lynne and I have shared many discussions throughout this journey to prepare ourselves for this day. The discussions help to ease this transition but only slightly. Please pray for an inner peace for Lynne and comfort and strength for her family and others that love and care for her.

Regards,
Darryl

Our hearts are breaking for you. We will pray just as you requested and also that Lynne not be in physical pain. As we are in prayer, do make us aware of any new requests we need to be making of our Father. Meanwhile, we will be so very thankful to Him for His care and keeping of you thus far -- and for His faithfulness.

Please give my sis a kiss for me and let her know I am so grateful to God for each of you and God's hand upon our friendship.

Darryl, please let Jessica know that I love her and her bro too --- May every desire on your heart for dear Lynne come to pass. Praying His mighty strength to be with you each step.

Love you,
Joyce

Dearest Darryl, Jessica, and Josh,

Steve and I are praying for your comfort during this time. We are praying for Lynne as she prepares for the place God provides his children...a place with no pain, no sorrow, and no tears.

We have so many fond memories of Lynne. God must have put her on my heart Friday as Faith and I were snuggled up on the couch after supper looking through a Current catalogue. We saw a page of Mary Engelbreit 'to do list' notepads and Faith said how much she loved Mary's work. I reminded Faith of Lynne and when we toured the (at the time) new house. I asked if she remembered Lynne's craft room. Faith said she remembered Mary Engelbreit in the craft room and roosters in the kitchen...to which I added in my mind "And two ovens!"

This is such a sad time, but we also are remembering the triumph our Lord provides to those who love him. There is no doubt in my mind where Lynne is going. Steve and I are looking forward to the day we all can sit around and fondly remember watching the Diamondbacks win the world series with our dearest friends.

Daryl & Lynn, we know what to say or do in a time like this. All we can do is pray and ask God for the strength, courage and compasion for this time in your lives. Sue and I will be thinking of both of you every hour, may the mercy of God be with you.
