Lynne won her battle against the Glioblastoma Multiforme at 2:05 pm this afternoon. At noon, her breathing became extremely labored and the oxygen saturation dropped to 55%, so we were sure that she was within just a few minutes. But Lynne is a fighter - a fighter to the bitter end.

Darryl...we are so blessed for the time Lynne was in our lives, words cannot express our joy and sorrow at her passing. Your entire family has been such an example of what we are all striving to become. May God bless you and Lynne.

May God comfort, strengthen, and surround you and your family during this time, Darryl. We love you and are praying for you.

Thank you also for your updates here on your blog. They mean an extra lot to us as a small part of your family that happens to be located far, far away from church announcements and almost any other way of keeping up with how things have gone and are going.

Darryl - just read your mother's notice, then yours. Lynne was a fighter and I'm glad she has finally, finally won her battle. Love you, Gloria T

Darryl,
So thankful that she was able to go so quickly and peacefully and so totally surrounded by family and friends. What a way to "take flight to worlds unknown" - unknown but so wonderful! He has promised and He is faithful. What a blessed assurance she had.
Love and prayers will be with you and yours during the coming days.

May God's strength surround you my brother, you are in our hearts. Lynn was an inspiration to so many people, but always kept her belief in our Savior, the reward is now hers, and what she taught us to the end is to love one another as Jesus loved us.

Darryl,
We love you all and will miss Lynne. I wish that I had words to tell you how we feel or to somehow make things better but I know that words do not help. Just know that we are here to listen or help whenever we can.
Love,

Dearest Darryl,

It has been a very long journey. Like Rob and Denyce, we too have appreciated this means of keeping up to date with you and Lynne (and the battle Lynne fought so valiently) over the last 5 years.

It has been very hard for me to be so far away when all I wanted to do is be with you and Lynne during these last few days...my intention being to comfort Lynne, but knowing she would be the one comforting me. I am struggling to smile though my selfish tears by remembering funny things like Lynne teaching me how to do my makeup for Ryan and Heather's wedding...and she couldn't find my invisible eyelashes even after a coat of mascara.

Isn't it just like Lynne to help others even after she has left her earthly tabernacle. We eagerly await the day when we can be with her again. It will be easy to find her. She'll be the one with the open arms and the beautiful smile...and the twinkle in her eye because she can't wait to bop Steve on the head.

We love you and are praying for your strength and comfort.
